The sockets are there and are functional. Oh.my back cover does not show Acousticon and Baton labels it has a sole square cutout over the two sockets that is covered by a transparent piece of something like lexan riveted to the back cover. Maybe I should join that Radiomuseum after all.

So I wanted first to use the manual to see what modes couple with what controls. My problem is, as soon as any pushbuttons other than Voice are activated, the thing starts oscillating, and pretty viciously so. Yes it does have a drawer which had a broken tube (as I found out, not from this radio) and 3 spools of magnet wire (the previous owner, who was also the original owner and a friend of mine, was an engineer. I suspected the Multisonic button was the one activating the equalizer from the schematic, but all these separately shown potentiometers and switches (German Version shows them a bit more consolidated) don't exactly make them easy to trace. The selenium bridge is there - it works fine. The electrolytics all have been replaced and the main twistlock restuffed with high ripple aluminum cans. The radio has been fully recapped: all the ERO caps have been replaced with film caps. I thought it was due to me just plugging an 8 ohm speaker into the audio transformer output, which eliminates some feedbacks used from the speakers in the cabinet, but when I plugged them in, even though the quality of the sound improved, the howling at certain audio settings, including raised Low band, remained. If someone has experienced the howling, I could use some pointers. It is possible I have bought the right version but it is also possible I haven't.Ģ. I have just bought a Photofact on eBay but that was right before I realized there is a difference.

So, if anyone has a PDF copy of the US sch and were so kind to share it, I would appreciate the help. Since my problem is howling when the Low equalizer regulator is up, this is the crucial difference, as this probably is the place I need to be looking at. I downloaded what's available for free, but those are German version and the difference (or one of the differences) is, it uses ECC81 and not EC92. I recapped it, it is playing.not to my satisfaction, and this is why I needed the schematicġ.
